Hands-Free Minnesota

MN’s new law is in effect banning drivers from using a phone unless they are using a hands-free device. You may not hold a phone in your hand while driving unless it is an emergency.

This comes amid growing fatalities due to distracted driving. In the 12/15 states that are now hands-free traffic fatalities decrease by an average of 15%.

Most newer cars have bluetooth or apple car play. If you have a vehicle without those you have several options. You can use a single earphone with a microphone, use an auxiliary cable, use speaker phone and put your phone on the dash, and many other options!
